Project description:
At the beginning of 2024, the Tax Administration of the Republic of Croatia started a Tax Competitiveness Portal on its website with the aim of presenting information on the competitiveness of the Croatian tax system in an educational, informative and comparative manner. The web portal contains plenty of data on tax systems of Croatia and other EU member states and presents various indicators that enable comparison of tax burden between countries.
Within this project, the Institute for Public Finance collects and handles various data and information that the Tax Administration uses for publication on the Tax Competitiveness Portal. More specifically, the materials delivered relate to indicators of the tax wedge on employment income in EU countries, international comparisons of tax rules for employment, capital and property incomes, legal and effective rates of profit tax, and value added tax rates.
